Part of the complete guide: The Complete Guide to Cash-on-Delivery Selling in Pakistan
You ordered something and now you are waiting. Tracking turns waiting into knowing, but only if you know where to look and what the stages mean. This guide helps customers and sellers understand tracking for cash-on-delivery orders.
Where to find the tracking link
The seller or the delivery service usually sends a link or an order number by message. Orders delivered through Shipify come with a live tracking link, and you can also use the track an order page with your tracking details.
What the stages usually mean
- Order placed or confirmed: the seller has your order.
- Ready or packed: the shop has prepared the item.
- Picked up: a rider or courier has collected the parcel.
- On the way: the parcel is travelling to your address.
- Delivered: the parcel was handed over and payment collected.
Names differ between services, but the idea is the same.
What to do while you wait
- Keep your phone on and nearby. Riders often call before arriving.
- Make sure someone can receive the parcel.
- Keep the exact cash amount ready if you are paying on delivery.
If tracking seems stuck
- Check the time. Orders placed late may move the next morning.
- Check that the address and phone number on the order are correct.
- Message the seller with your order number and ask for an update.
- If you cannot reach the seller, use the contact options of the delivery service.
When the parcel arrives
Check the item before you pay if the service allows it. If something is clearly wrong, tell the rider and the seller at once. The Return and Refund Policy explains what happens next on Shipify.
Do not share tracking links publicly
A tracking page can show delivery details. Share it only with people who need it.
