Return and Refund Policy

This policy explains what happens when an order cannot be delivered, or when an End Customer wants to return or exchange a delivered product. It forms part of the Terms and Conditions.

Last updated: 23 October 2026 · Version 3.2

§01

Failed Deliveries

  • If an order cannot be delivered (for example the customer refuses it, cannot be reached or gave a wrong address), the Rider records the reason and returns the product to the Supplier.
  • The Rider's trip charge for the failed delivery is charged to the Dropshipper's Wallet, because the order was placed for the Dropshipper's customer. The Supplier is not paid for an undelivered order and confirms receiving the product back.

§02

Returns and Exchanges After Delivery

  • Only the Dropshipper can request a return or exchange, within the return window of 3 days after delivery, by choosing the reason from the preset list and adding photographs where asked.
  • Shipify reviews every request and may approve or reject it. If approved, the trip is offered to a Rider like a new order: the Rider accepts or declines it and may ask a trip price of their own, which the Dropshipper approves, counters or declines. The Rider collects the item from the customer (and, for an exchange, brings the replacement, which the Supplier shows and packs in front of the Rider) and takes it back to the Supplier, who confirms its condition.
  • For a return, the Supplier's price for the order is taken back from the Supplier's earnings, and the refund agreed for the customer is settled through the Dropshipper's Wallet, as shown in the request.

§03

Who Pays the Return Charges

  • Return and exchange trip charges are paid by the Dropshipper by default.
  • Where the reason is the Supplier's mistake (for example a damaged, wrong or incomplete item), the Supplier is asked for its side and Shipify decides, with a recorded reason, whether the Supplier or the Dropshipper pays the charges. Shipify's decision is final, subject only to the Dispute Resolution and Arbitration clause of the Terms.

§04

Refunds to Customers

  • Shipify does not sell to End Customers. A refund to an End Customer is the Dropshipper's responsibility. Where it is paid through the Platform, Shipify sends it by transfer to the account the Dropshipper gave for the customer, after the item is back with the Supplier, and records and charges it as shown in the return request. A Rider never pays or collects a refund. The Dropshipper is responsible for giving a correct account number and name.
  • Platform Fees and delivery charges for a completed delivery are not refundable unless Shipify decides otherwise in a particular case.
  • Deposits and Wallet balances are paid out only under the Terms and Conditions, through the payout process.

§05

Damaged or Lost Parcels

  • A parcel lost or damaged while in a Rider's custody is the Rider's responsibility. A product that was faulty or wrongly packed before pickup is the Supplier's responsibility. Shipify reviews each case on the Platform's records and makes the resulting Wallet entries.

§06

Shipify's Liability

  • Shipify facilitates returns and records the money that results; it does not take on responsibility for any product, delivery or customer. Its liability is limited as set out in the Terms and Conditions, and every dispute about a return is resolved under their Dispute Resolution and Arbitration clause.
